Janelle Bartlett – FCA

For over two decades, Janelle has worked with family owned businesses – large and small – to provide:

  • Taxation planning advice and preparation
  • Business improvement strategies
  • Wealth Creation advice
  • Self Managed Super Fund set up and administration

Janelle is passionate about caring for clients from one generation to the next. In fact, many of her new clients are the children of long-time clients, now starting their own businesses and property investments. A nationally recognized expert in her field, Janelle writes for “Your Investment Property Magazine,” answering questions from readers about capital gains tax and tax in general.

As an undergraduate, Janelle won the Robb College Financial Management Research Centre’s award for academic excellence.

Janelle Bartlett began her career at one of the Big Four accounting firms and is the managing partner of Chan & Naylor Accountants SEQ where she leads a dynamic team of highly responsive tax, business and wealth accountants. Chan & Naylor are a prominent national group of accountants with office throughout Australia.

Emma Hyman

Emma is a Client Services Manager at Chan & Naylor SEQ responsible for our Investor, Sole Trader and Salary clients. Emma has been an experienced taxation consultant with Chan & Naylor since 2008, with a background in the bookkeeping and a former educator.

Emma provides a great range of resources to our clients with her wide range of skills in payroll, business reporting, tax consulting, and training.

Emma is a Certified Xero Adviser and is more than happy to assist clients with any accounting software queries.

Emma enjoys bookkeeping and training for clients to assist them make the most of their software. Emma has a particularly keen interest and expertise in taxation law.

Venessa Willis

Venessa is a Senior Bookkeeper at Chan & Naylor SEQ and brings experience with a broad portfolio of work from accounting offices, retail chains, the veterinary industry, and children’s services. She has owned and managed her own business for 8 years.

Across these industries Venessa has gained a wide variety of skills that complement our extensive range of clients, including bookkeeping, payroll, business reporting and software implementation.

Venessa has a passion for Xero software and enjoys assisting clients set up their accounting files for the very first time, data conversions, and file corrections.

Venessa is a Certified Xero Adviser.

With a keen interest in start-ups, reporting, and trouble shooting, Venessa looks forward to playing an active role in seeing your business perform.

Priyanka Gupta

Priyanka Gupta is a senior accountant at Chan & Naylor SEQ. Priyanka holds a Masters of Business Administration & Professional Accounting from Central Queensland University.

She has extensive experience in individual and small businesses tax return preparation.

This experience has given her a very good understanding of all aspects of taxation law.

Priyanka also works on all the cloud accounting software including Xero, QBO and MYOB.

Debbie Pender

Debbie started at Chan & Naylor in January 2020 and has fit right in. Clients may have spoken to her when calling the office or via email with general admin queries.

Since gaining a diploma in IT, Debbie has worked in the tourism industry, performed Quality Assurance for a software company, bookkeeping in the veterinary industry and data entry in the transport industry before finding her rightful place at Chan & Naylor. She enjoys getting to know the clients and the opportunity to continue developing her skills in bookkeeping and challenging herself daily.
